Tuesday I met with Miss A. (from Virginia) who will be a Senior this year. I have to start this out by saying I was soooo very tired as I headed to our session. I had just finished 3 days of horse camp at my barn - all the kids left around 6:20, I hopped in the shower, got my camera gear and jumped right in the car. I must say I was kind of dreading the thought of having to “work” even more, lol. I met with her at the Market Commons. and as soon as I did, my energy bounced right back!! She was so full of life, was beautiful and was definately NOT shy in front of the camera. We had a ball finding great spots to shoot and getting to cut up a bit. After two clothing changes we got in our cars and headed to the Myrtle Beach State Park for some beach shots. I don’t know that I have ever seen the ocean look quite as beautiful as it did. It was a light turquoise color and the sky was a beautiful pink and purple. It was cool with a slight breeze and absolutely no humidity!! Since she is a cheerleader we had fun having her do some jumps.
Thank you so much A for giving me my energy back (wish you were here today, LOL)! I had so much fun working with you. I do hope you love these as much as I do!
A few “sneek peaks” from our time together~

Monday afternoon I had the honor of photographing a beautiful engagement session. I could tell right off that these two were madly in love! We met up at Huntington Beach State Park and shot around the castle for a few before heading down to the beach. It was a beautiful evening, the air had cooled off a bit…even though the humidity was still pretty thick. These two have a date set for next May and I wish them much love for many years to come!!

Today started the RGS Hunter/Jumper Boot Camp. I have 5 girls today and will have 6 as soon as Sydney gets back home. This mornings ride went very well (2 hours). After the horses were hosed off and taken care of the girls learned how to do stretches (for the horse). They also learned why and how to wrap correctly. They are currently cooling off in the pool since it is probably over 100 degrees outside. They will get back on for an additional 2 hours around 3:30 or so. I saw a lot of improvement in all of them already…so I can only imagine how well they will be doing by Tuesday! I hope to have some pictures to share here soon.
For my clients waiting on galleries. My next three days are booked solid from 6:45 until about 9pm. I will try and work on some editing during the evening hours. Thank you for your patience!
Yesterday we left for Columbia, SC to see my Brother In Law. Twelve weeks ago he left for boot camp at Fort Jackson….Today….he graduated! We got to spend all day yesterday on base with him. He showed us around, we baked in the 95+ degree heat (MAN was it humid) and we ended with a banquet. We got up early this morning for the graduation ceremony. Even though it began at 9am, there were soliders passing out right and left from the heat! I can’t even begin to imagine what these men and women must endure during their training!! They truly are heros and I am super proud of each and every one of them (especially my BIL, he he). Eruch graduated as a Specialist and will be flying out to Virginia tomorrow morning - where he will receive an additional 6 months of training. We wish him much luck during his journey!
We are SO PROUD of you “Chooch”…… …….. ……. ……. HOOAH !!!
A few shots from the ceremonies~

Today I met up with the wonderful Angela Crutcher and her family at the state park. I met Angela online originally and we met up last year while she was on vacation. She contacted me again this year and we decided to do a session swap…since us photog’s very rarely get to be in FRONT of the camera, lol. I’m VERY sad to say that our last actual family picture was taken back when my son was 8 months old. He’s now 12 and our little one is 6!!! How’s it go? The Cobler’s kids have no shoes? Well, the photographer has no pictures (of herself with her family), lol. Today, Angela helped me change that!!! Thank you SO much for taking our pic’s today - I can’t wait to see what you got!!
***** My family and I will be out of town until Sunday! As you can see from my recent posts, I’ve had several sessions that I’m working hard to get into galleries. If you are one waiting on your gallery, thank you for your patience. I will get them up as quickly as I can!*****
Here are a few ’sneak peeks’ of Angela and her family! I do hope you guys have a wonderful vacation (and hurry home so I can see some sneak peeks of mine, ha ha)!
This little pigeon was trying his best to hide from our kiddos. We thought he was stuck at first - but found that he couldn’t fly once he did get out. Poor little guy!

I had planned to meet with this senior later this afternoon. It was so cloudy and overcast that I just KNEW it was going to rain. So I asked if they would want to meet earlier to try and beat the bad weather. We agreed to meet at 1:30 and wouldn’t you know it…all the clouds went away and the bright sun popped right out! We went ahead and shot down at the market commons and decided to wait until later this afternoon to get her beach shots. We searched for what shade we could find…and managed to find some great little locations!
Here are a few “sneek peeks” from the market - with a few from the beach to come later!
